Overview

The 6187-21 City & Guilds Hydrocarbon Refrigerant Handling qualification is designed for engineers working with refrigeration and air conditioning systems that use hydrocarbon refrigerants such as R290 (Propane) and R600a (Isobutane).

Hydrocarbon refrigerants are increasingly used due to their low environmental impact and high energy efficiency, but they are flammable, meaning engineers must be trained in safe working procedures.

This course provides engineers with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely install, service, maintain and repair systems using hydrocarbon refrigerants, while complying with industry safety standards.
